How much time do I need to allow for ordering a bridal gown and bridesmaid gowns?
Delivery times vary by designer. It is a recommended that you order your bridal gown at least 6 - 8 months prior to your wedding day. A bridal gown will typically take 4-5 months to come in and then you will need to allow time for your alterations. However, if you have a rapidly approaching wedding, some designers do have gowns available for quick or even immediate delivery. Bridesmaids usually take 3-4 months for delivery and generally require alterations as well. Rush service is available from most designers for bridal and bridesmaid gowns.
What if I have bridesmaids that live out-of-town?
Our bridesmaid out-of-town measurement form is available on our website. Once all measurements and down payments are received, the order will be placed. After the gowns arrive, we will ship them to a bridesmaid at her expense via UPS.
Will Darlington Bridal & Formal price-match?
Though Internet prices seem enticing, you will find that you get what you pay for when comparing services offered. A gown purchased online is delivered to your door in a box, in plastic, and wrinkled. When purchased at a full-service bridal salon, a gown may cost slightly more because of the services included. By purchasing from a full service bridal salon, you have the luxury of trying on several styles, receiving personal assistance in choosing your size, and having all questions answered by a knowledgeable and experienced consultant. At Darlington Bridal & Formal your gown is thoroughly inspected before you are contacted. It will be steamed and stored at our store until pickup. We also offer fittings with local seamstresses.
